Job summary

Maimonides Health, Brooklyn’s largest tertiary care center and major teaching hospital for the SUNY Downstate School of Medicine, seeks a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join our busy, expanding academic practice. This is a 100% IR position with inpatient/outpatient consult service and admitting privileges.

Our team includes NP’s, RA’s and Radiology residents, with two ESIR positions per year.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be board-certified in Interventional Radiology.
• New York State license required.
• Interest in resident education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 100% IR coverage for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Perform the full gamut of IR procedures.
• Participate in resident and fellow education and conferences.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and oncology/cancer services.

Job description

Maimonides Health, Brooklyn’s largest tertiary care center and the major teaching hospital for the SUNY Downstate School of Medicine, seeks a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join our busy, expanding academic practice.

This is a 100% IR position. Our inpatient/outpatient consult service, with admitting privileges, performs the full gamut of IR procedures. Our team includes NP’s, RA’s and Radiology residents, with 2 ESIR positions per year.

At our main campus, we have one biplane, several single plane and hybrid/OR angio suites. We have dedicated CT/US equipment.

In addition, we have a very collaborative relationship with our clinical teams supporting various programs including Level I Trauma, Stroke, Breast, Prostate, PE, Fibroid, etc. We perform state-of-the-art Oncology treatments as part of Brookyn’s only dedicated Cancer Center. We participate in and conduct numerous interdisciplinary conferences.

Interest in resident education is essential.

There are extensive diagnostic and IR moonlighting opportunities.

Fellows, junior and senior interventionalists welcome.

Salary Range 450-650K
