Job summary

UTHealth Houston's Department of Diagnostic & Interventional Imaging is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join our radiology team across the Greater Houston area. The successful candidate will provide a broad range of image-guided diagnostic procedures and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Candidates should have IR fellowship training, board certification or eligibility, and a Texas medical license.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.
Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or equivalent qualifications.
Board certification or board eligibility in Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology.
Texas Medical License or Faculty Temporary License.

Responsibilities

Perform a broad range of image-guided minimally invasive procedures.
Evaluate patients in consultation and determine appropriate interventional treatment.
Perform vascular and nonvascular interventions, including biopsies, drainages, vascular access, embolization procedures, and other procedures appropriate to the physician's expertise.
Participate in inpatient and outpatient interventional radiology services.
Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams.
Provide pre- and post-procedure patient management.
Participate in departmental quality improvement, education, and peer-review activities.
Participate in call coverage as assigned.
