Job summary

Terrestris Global Solutions seeks an Interventional Radiologist to support the Veteran community in Brooklyn, NY. This full-time role is open to Locum or Traveling professionals. The position focuses on direct patient care with a schedule of 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. and on-call hours, at Brooklyn, NY, with opportunities to contribute to VA credentialing and onboarding. Candidates must be board-certified in Radiology, hold an MD or equivalent, and be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S. or in the District of Columbia.
  • Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree.
  • VA experience is a plus.
  • Credentialing and onboarding per VA processes.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care as Interventional Radiologist with radiology procedures listed.
  • Provide procedures including angiography, embolization, line insertions, and biopsy.
  • Carry out administrative duties ~5% of time.

Position Highlights
  • Logistics:
    • Pay: $357.00+ / hour
    • Contract Length: 1 base year with 4 1-year option periods
    • Schedule: Full-time – Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with On Call Hours.
    • Location: Brooklyn, NY
  • Requirements:
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
    • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
    • Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
    • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
    • Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

Typical Day

Estimated 95% of the time is involved in direct patient care. Contractor’s physician(s) shall be responsible for providing Interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to:

  • Angiography
  • Cryoblation
  • Balloon angioplasty/stent placement
  • Line insertion
  • Chemoembolization
  • IVC filters
  • Cholecystostomy
  • Vertebroplasty
  • Drain insertions
  • Nephrostomy placement
  • Embolization
  • Radiologically inserted gastrostomy
  • Thrombolysis
  • Dialysis access & related interventions
  • Biopsy
  • TIPS placement
  • Radiofrequency ablation
  • Biliary intervention

Estimated 5% of the time involved in administrative duties.

Qualifications
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Previous experience with the VA is a plus.
  • If selected, candidates will need to complete credentialing and onboarding requirements consistent with VA medical staff processes.
