Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City, KS is seeking an Interventional Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic radiologic procedures. Required are a high school diploma, ARRT radiography licensure and BLS certification, with additional degrees preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred.
Active licensure in Radiologic Technology with ARRT preferred.
BLS Heartsaver certification required; AHA.
Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Assist during physician supervised diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic radiologic procedures with sterile technique.
Document use of contrast material and patient charges accurately.
Maintain competence in radiologic imaging across vascular, spinal, neurological, chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremity procedures.
Comply with HIPAA, infection control, and safety policies; participate in culture of safety activities.
Support on-call duties and overtime as needed; aid in training Radiology residents and technologist preceptorship.
