The role you’ll contribute:

Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining respectful relationships with all. Under close supervision, the Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist I is newly hired and in training to perform sterile radiographic procedures and administer contrast agents at a technical level. Provides safe care and processing of patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric.

• Utilizes knowledge and skills for age-specific factors necessary to perform safe and effective procedures on patients of all ages (neonate/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatrics). These skills are acquired through formal training, in-service, continuing education, and/or experience. Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and protocols. Addresses patient needs, questions, and anxieties.
• Utilizes proper positioning criteria and technical exposure factors. Ensures study has correct patient demographics and RT/LT annotation when post-processing. Inputs procedural charges into the computer system. Confirms proper exam/patient before releasing images to PACS.
• Attends department meetings consistently and promotes positive dialogue regarding department objectives. Listens and seeks to understand.

Qualifications:

• Basic General Radiology experience
• State license as a General Radiographer
