Schedule: Full-time (36 hours)

Shift: Days; 4 9-hour shifts with a rotating day off. Shift is 7:30 AM- 5 PM with required on-call, every third weekend, and rotating on-call during the weekdays also (it is not every week, and your weekday and weekend on-call would not fall during the same week).

The role you’ll contribute:

Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Under close supervision, the Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist I is newly hired and in training to perform sterile radiographic procedures and administer contrast agents at a technical level. Provides safe care and processing of patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric.

  1. Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealth service standards.
  2. Utilizes the knowledge and skills for age-specific factors necessary to perform safe and effective procedures on patients of all ages (neonate/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatrics). The knowledge and skills are acquired through formal training, Inservice, continuing education and/or experience. Willing to learn/adapt to new technologies and protocols. Addresses patient needs, questions, and anxieties.
  3. Utilizes proper positioning criteria and technical exposure factors. Ensures study has correct patient demographics and RT/LT annotation when post processing. Inputs procedural charges into the computer system. Confirms proper exam/patient before releasing images to PACS.
  4. Attends department meetings consistently and promotes positive dialogue with respect to department objectives. Listens and is responsible to understand.

Qualifications

  2. State license as a General Radiographer
  3. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Radiography (ARRT (R))
  4. Basic Life Support (BLS)
