Job summary

Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM, seeks an Interventional Pulmonologist and Intensivist for outpatient, inpatient, and ICU coverage.

The role emphasizes advanced bronchoscopy, pleural disease management, and involvement in lung cancer screening and multidisciplinary Thoracic conferences. Applicants should be board-eligible or board-certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care and expect collaboration with VA-based faculty and potential University of New Mexico ties.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient pulmonary/ thoracic care.
• Perform advanced bronchoscopy and interventional procedures.
• Lead and participate in lung cancer screening and multidisciplinary conferences.
• Supervise trainees and participate in ICU coverage.
• Collaborate with university faculty for appointments and research.
• Contribute to education and clinical activities at the VA Medical Center.
