Job summary

Aster Mental Health in Peabody, MA is seeking an Interventional Psychiatry Technician to support growing clinical needs in a private physician-led practice serving adolescents and adults. This temporary position involves assisting with TMS treatments, monitoring esketamine administration, and coordinating patient care with the in-house team.

You will handle scheduling, authorizations, and patient inquiries, build relationships with patients during sessions, and liaise with insurers to finalize

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Medical assistant program preferred and BLS certification desirable.
• Experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with psychiatric patients and related paperwork is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments (training provided).
• Monitor patients during Spravato (esketamine) treatment and post-administration.
• Coordinate prior authorizations and finalize patient paperwork with insurers.
• Handle scheduling, authorizations, and other administrative tasks.
• Take vital signs and perform basic clinical tasks with patients.
• Respond to patient inquiries related to interventional psychiatry.
• Build relationships with patients during treatment sessions and coordinate care with the in-house team.
• Reach out to referral sources to promote services in the community.
• Provide administrative support to the front office as needed.
