Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston Hospital is seeking an Interventional Procedures Assistant to support the procedural team during IR cases. The role includes preparing sterile and nonsterile equipment, assisting with vascular access and setup, and coordinating supplies to ensure smooth patient care.

This part-time position requires weekday day shifts (7:30 am start, 7:30 am–6 pm) with rotating on-call weekends. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification: BLS Certification required.
• Experience: Ideal applicants are nursing/allied health students seeking knowledge and skill development in acute care.
• Skills: Task oriented, good communication, team player.

Responsibilities

• Performs a combination of tasks pre, during, and after the IR procedure to assist the procedural team.
• Prepares sterile and nonsterile equipment, catheters, and technology used pre, intra, and post procedure.
• Acts as scrub assistant aiding the physician and Radiology Technologist in circulating the procedure and setup.
• Assists physician in obtaining vascular access and drain placements.
• Responsible for supply management and restocking of supplies.
• Medium functional demands with high energy; lift 40-50 lbs and push/pull 150-200 lbs.
