Description

At Arizona Pain, the future of pain care is being written right now, and we are proud to be among those writing it. We are looking for an Interventional Pain Physician who brings both clinical excellence and genuine compassion to every patient encounter. As one of Arizona's most experienced and highest volume MIS practices, our physicians work at the forefront of interventional techniques, including MILD, Spinal Cord Stimulation, Intercept, and a growing portfolio of advanced procedures. Our depth of experience comes from doing this work at scale. We have built a reputation as the go-to place for MIS and interventional pain in Arizona, and that reputation brings patients directly to us, which means a full and steady procedural schedule from day one. This is a role built for a physician who loves the procedural side of this specialty and feels at home in the surgical space. You will have the case volume, the technology, and the support to operate at the top of your scope. An integrated team of nurse practitioners, chiropractors, physical therapists, and licensed specialists handles the surrounding care so your time stays focused where it matters most. Behind every case is a person who has been living with pain, and here the relationship matters just as much as the result. If you already have a strong procedural background, you will hit the ground running. If you have the foundation and the drive, we have the infrastructure and mentorship to take your skills further than you thought possible.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations, to accurately diagnose pain conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRI, CT scans, and nerve conduction studies to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, incorporating bread and butter and advanced interventional procedures, physical therapy, chiropractic, and other modalities as appropriate.
  • Perform a variety of interventional pain procedures including but not limited to bread and butter cases and advanced procedures such as peripheral and central neuromodulation, SI joint fusion, MILD, Vertebroplasty, and other advanced procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families about their pain condition, treatment options, and self management techniques.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize pain relief and functional outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other health care professionals including chiropractors, physical therapists, APPs, and other physicians to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex pain conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date medical records, including documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of developments in the field of interventional pain management through continuing medical education, research, and participation in professional organizations.
  • Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of medical practice, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
Benefits

As a member of our team, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Competitive pay with strong bonus upside
  • Ability to buy into the ASC as a partner
  • Executive stock program
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life, AD&D, and short term and long term disability coverage
  • 401K retirement program
  • Paid time off (PTO)
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Employee-only perks and discounts
Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Pain Medicine (Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, etc.).
  • Completion of fellowship training in Pain Medicine.
  • Valid medical license and DEA registration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
About Us

Arizona Pain has been changing lives and serving the Arizona healthcare community for over a decade. We were founded on a belief that has only deepened over time: that people living with chronic pain deserve a real path forward, not just a way to cope. We treat the full spectrum of chronic pain patients, including those working to reduce or eliminate narcotic dependence, because if you are not willing to meet a patient where they are, you cannot help them get to where they want to be. While medication management is an important part of our care offering, our focus on interventional and minimally invasive care, used not just to reduce pain but to restore function and help patients get back to the things that make life worth living, is why patients seek us out. That work is done by an integrated team of physicians, nurse practitioners, chiropractors, and licensed specialists who collaborate around every patient with the complete picture in mind. When you join Arizona Pain, you are joining a practice with the courage to take on complex cases and the conviction to see them through. We grow together, we challenge each other, and every day we show up for patients who are ready to start living again.
