Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with patient care, exams, and coordination. You'll welcome patients, collect histories, document vitals, and assist with procedures to ensure high-quality care.

Credentials may include MA program/externship or EMT/paramedic training, with current CPR. Emphasis on education for patients and coordination across care teams in a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of clinical experience preferred; alternative is 2+ years in community clinic with testing/evaluation.
• Successful completion of accredited MA program or equivalent externship/internship.
• Current CPR certification is required or implied.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
