Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL, is seeking qualified Interventional Radiology support staff to join a fast-paced team. The role requires registration and proven cardiovascular experience, with duties spanning circulating, monitoring, and scrubbing in electrophysiology labs. A robust benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

  • Must have ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation
  • Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy
  • Knowledge of Vascular anatomy
  • Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, family, staff
  • Knowledge of common healthcare concepts and practices
  • Ability to monitor BP, ECG and SpO2 with clinical equipment
  • Basic computer skills and MS Office
  • Must read/write/speak conversational English
  • Knowledge of complex peripheral/interventional procedures preferred

Responsibilities

  • Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed
  • Administers medications and performs treatments according to policy and training
  • Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and medications
  • Functions in clinical emergencies
  • Produces accurate medical records for each patient
  • Maintains authenticity and security of medical records
  • Performs procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) in labs
  • Takes call as rotated/assigned
  • Provides training for procedures and orientation of new personnel
  • Participates in quality and performance improvement activities
  • Participates in unit budgeting for cost-effective environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Description:

Schedule : 4 x 10-hour shifts, will require Call to cover night and weekend shifts.

Must be registered in Interventional Radiology

Sign On Bonus : Up to $15K

Relocation Bonus: Up to $3K

  • Must be able to perform three of the following procedures: diagnostic and interventional coronary procedures, electrophysiology procedures, peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, neuro radiologic procedures, structural heart procedures, and pediatric procedures.
  • Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed.
  • Administers medications and performs treatments according to policy and training.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and medications.
  • Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
  • Produces accurately written and promptly completed medical records for each patient.
  • Maintains authenticity and security of medical records, following prescribed processes for amending documents.
  • Performs procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in therapeutic cardiac and electrophysiology laboratories.
  • Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds in hospital per policy.
  • Provides training for procedures within their competency and assists with orientation, training, and education of new personnel.
  • Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to improve patient outcomes and documents activities as needed.
  • Participates in unit/service line budgeting processes to ensure a cost-effective, quality-focused environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation [Required]
  • Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy [Required]
  • Knowledge of Vascular anatomy [Required]
  • Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring [Required]
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
  • Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment [Required]
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
  • Knowledge of complex peripheral intervention procedures, peripheral diagnostic procedures and peripheral intervention procedures [Preferred]
Education:
  • Associate [Required]
  • Bachelor's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
  • in healthcare related field
Work Experience:
  • 1+ relevant healthcare experience [Required]
  • 2+ years in cardiac cath/EP/neurosciences/ critical care, or interventional radiology [Preferred]
