Job summary

Mountain View Regional is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist Certified to provide specialized support during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. You will assist physicians, operate specialized equipment, and maintain sterile techniques to ensure patient safety and quality care.

The role requires RCIS certification and BCLS/ACLS, with 0-1 years of experience. You will document data, participate in team communications, and contribute to a safe, efficient acute care environment.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in cardiovascular or invasive procedures.
• RCIS certification required or preferred.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS required.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and procedures.
• Ability to maintain sterile technique and accurate data recording.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians during cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, maintaining sterile techniques and adhering to clinical protocols.
• Operates advanced cardiovascular equipment safely and efficiently, monitoring patient status and adapting to changing conditions.
• Records, calculates, and verifies data during procedures for physician review, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepares and maintains detailed procedural documentation, including treatment plans and progress reports, in line with department standards.
• Ensures a safe and efficient environment in the acute care area, responding promptly to patient needs and changes in condition.
• Supports patient preparation, positioning, and monitoring, providing reassurance and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures.
• Collaborates with healthcare team members to ensure seamless workflow, equipment readiness, and effective communication during procedures.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and maintains compliance with best practices, policies, and regulatory standards for cardiovascular care.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
