Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist I for a full-time day shift (four 10-hour shifts weekly, 6:45am-5:15pm) with on-call responsibilities. The technologist performs cardiovascular procedures in the Cath Lab, assists with interventional and EP cases, and ensures patient safety and radiation protection.

The role requires graduation from an approved education program, ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification, Texas MRT, BLS and ACLS; one year interventional experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body.
• One year radiologic technologist experience; interventional experience preferred.
• ARRT-R radiologic technologist certification; Texas MRT licensure and BLS/ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiovascular procedures in the Cath Lab and assist physicians with interventional and electrophysiology procedures.
• Scrub into Cath Lab cases, assist with equipment movement and radiologic control.
• Maintain radiation safety, sterile technique and patient safety during procedures.
