Job summary

Cook Children’s Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Cardiac Cath Lab to perform diagnostic and interventional imaging across pediatric to adult patients. The role includes scrubbing, assisting procedures, and operating x-ray equipment with emphasis on congenital heart and electrophysiology work.

The candidate must be able to adapt to a dynamic schedule, including extended shifts and on-call rotations, reporting to the Cardiac Cath Lab Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited program in Radiological Technology.
• Minimum of 2 years Radiology experience.
• Cath Lab experience preferred but not required.
• Good interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to handle high stress situations.
• Texas Medical Board Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
• Certified in BCLS/ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric, adolescent, and adult diagnostic and interventional/electrophysiology procedures.
• Scrub and assist Cardiac Cath Lab procedures with proficiency.
• Operate and troubleshoot x-ray equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of congenital heart disease and electrophysiology.
• Be flexible with work schedule, including extended shifts and on-call duties.
