Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Interventional Cardiology team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Center with coverage at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. The position is full time (36 hrs/week), primarily at Union Memorial with opportunities to cover Franklin Square.

The NP/PA will handle pre-procedure prep and post-procedure recovery for interventional cardiology patients, work with experienced APP peers and physicians, and participate

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Experienced Acute Care APP (PA, AGACNP, or ACNP).
• License/certification/registration current and appropriate.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients pre-procedure and assist post-procedure recovery for interventional cardiology patients.
• Collaborate with APP peers and physicians for learning and growth.
• Support 12-hour shifts with rotating weekend coverage and no night shifts.

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Interventional Cardiology team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Center with coverage at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. This will be a full time, 36 hr/week position mainly focused at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Center with possible availability to cover at Medstar Franklin Square Hospital.

In this role, the PA/NP would be primarily responsible for pre procedure prep and post procedure recovery of Interventional Cardiology patients. They will be working in a well-staffed facility with a state-of-the-art lab. This provider will have immediate access to very experienced APP peers and physicians to learn and grow in their career.

The scheduling for this role will mainly be (3), 12 hr. shifts a week, with occasional shorter shifts depending on rotating weekend shift. There may be opportunity for later coverage hours, but no nights.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Experienced Acute Care APP (PA, AGACNP, or ACNP)
• License/Certification/Registration
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - in line with clinical experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
