Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing or higher required.
• Mississippi APRN license and national certification required.
• Applications may be considered from candidates meeting minimum qualifications who will meet all requirements within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Completes health assessments (patient histories and physical exams).
• Orders, collects, and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops and implements comprehensive patient care plans.
• Ensures complete documentation of assessments and plans.
• Educates and mentors graduate nursing students and new AP providers.
• Functions as expert/resource to nursing staff in area of specialty.
• Serves on nursing councils/committees to improve patient care.
• Directs management of patient care on the designated unit.
• Leads overall operations of the unit to ensure optimum patient care.
• Identifies and reports unit-based quality improvement activities.
