Job summary

UNC Health in Kinston, North Carolina, seeks a Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist to join UNC Cardiology at Lenoir. This employed, full-time role offers PCI procedures with future growth in peripheral and structural heart services, a new cath lab opening in 2026, and a robust benefits package.

The position supports program growth with strong institutional backing, veteran staff, and a mix of interventional and general cardiology duties.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology is required.
• Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of an ACGME-certified fellowship.
• NC medical license, DEA, ACLS/BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PCI and other interventional procedures.
• Contribute to STEMI coverage and growth of peripheral/structural heart services.
• Share 14 days of call with UNC cardiology partners; no in-house call.
• Collaborate with a team of cardiologists and APPs; support new cath lab expansion.
