UNC Cardiology at Kinston in eastern North Carolina is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist to join a growing program with a new cath lab opening March 2026.

The role offers a mix of interventional and general cardiology duties, a 26-patient/day typical volume, 4 hours of protected admin time, and 14 days of call shared with UNC cardiology partners, with APP support and a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Interventional Cardiology or eligibility.
• Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology.
• Interest in program growth and building practice.
• Open to experienced physicians or new graduates with strong institutional support.

Responsibilities

• Perform PCI and interventional procedures with potential growth in peripheral/structural heart services.
• Mix of interventional and general cardiology duties per candidate skillset.
• Share on-call with UNC cardiology partners (14 days).
• Clinic five days per week with protected admin time (4 hours).
• Collaborate with APPs; support inpatient consults.
