You will lead a team of interventional and structural cardiologists, collaborate with cardiac surgery, imaging, and EP teams, and guide growth through research, mentoring, and innovative therapies.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
• Proven leadership experience within a cardiovascular practice, cath lab, STEMI or structural heart program.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, physician collaboration, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of interventional and structural cardiologists, advanced practitioners, and a robust cath lab.
• Assist the structural heart program expansion including TAVR and TEER procedures.
• Perform a high volume of coronary interventions in a state-of-the-art cath lab and hybrid suites.
• Collaborate with cardiac surgery, imaging, electrophysiology, heart failure, and vascular teams.
• Drive quality, patient outcomes, program growth, and regional cardiovascular strategy.
• Influence physician recruitment and program development across the service line.
• Participate in research, clinical trials, and innovation initiatives.

Lead a High-Volume Cardiovascular Practice and Premier Structural Heart Program

Mercy Cardiology is seeking a dynamic Interventional Cardiologist Subspecialty Lead, Cath Lab/STEMI Medical Director to lead one of the region's busiest and most comprehensive cardiovascular programs.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-volume cardiovascular service line with an established referral network, advanced procedural capabilities, and strong organizational commitment to continued growth and innovation.

Position Highlights

• Lead a team of highly skilled interventional and structural cardiologists, advanced practitioners, robust cath lab, and Level 1 STEMI program.
• Assist the structuralist cardiologists with expansion of a robust Structural Heart Program, including TAVR, MitraClip/TEER, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, and emerging structural technologies.
• Perform a high volume of coronary interventions supported by state-of-the-art cath and hybrid operating suites.
• Collaborate with nationally recognized cardiac surgery, imaging, electrophysiology, heart failure, and vascular teams.
• Drive quality, patient outcomes, program growth, and strategic development across the cardiovascular service line.
• Influence physician recruitment, program development, and regional cardiovascular strategy.
• Participate in research, clinical trials, and innovation initiatives, if desired.
