VitalSolution is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join a collaborative team delivering comprehensive cardiovascular care in Paintsville and surrounding regions. The role features a structured block schedule (e.g., 7 days on/7 days off) with a 182.5-day/year commitment and a 1–3 year contract, balancing meaningful clinical work with predictable time off.

Responsibilities span outpatient clinics, inpatient consults, and procedures (PCI, caths, stress testing) in a community hospital

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease.
• LA license – License Facilitation Provided.
• 50 PCI’s in the last 12 months.
• 75 Diagnostic Caths in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient cardiology clinic in Paintsville, serving the Big Sandy Region.
• Inpatient Consults in Paintsville.
• Procedures and STEMI call in Prestonsburg.
• Heart failure management.
• Lipid and hypertension management.
• Shared call during block schedule.
• Diagnostic LHC/RHC – Coronary angiography.
• Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR).
• Instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR).
• IVUS.
• Nuclear cardiology studies.
• Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
• Supervise or interpret stress testing.
