Qualifications

• 3-5 years related work experience required.
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) course completion.
• Must be able to work in a 20lbs lead apron.
• Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical specific to functional areas and related systems.
• Cardiac Interventional Certificate within one year.
• Knowledge of cath lab inventory.
• Minimum 3 years recent related experience in Angiography (Special Procedures).

Responsibilities

• Assists the cardiologist and/or vascular surgeon in diagnostic and invasive cardiac, vascular and EP procedures.
• Assists with permanent pacemaker and ICD implants.
• Manages imaging acquisition and equipment operation in interventional and diagnostic labs.
• Participates in hemodynamic monitoring, scrubbing and circulating duties.
• Obtains vital hemodynamic data and informs physicians of changes.
• Maintains inventory and restocks as needed.
• Reports to Nurse Manager and Director.
• Ensures aseptic prep and radiation safety protocols.
• Operates and troubleshoots diagnostic and interventional modalities.
• Participates in data recording, storage and analysis of procedures.
• Supports radiation safety and dose monitoring and documentation.
• Rotates onsite within 30 minutes during call.
• Mentors students and new staff in Cath Lab.
• Accurate documentation and data entry.
• Floats to assist in Diagnostic Imaging.
