Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to deliver direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will work with a collaborative team and assume responsibility for several patients within a designated time frame while following policies and procedures.

In this role you will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate discharge needs, and serve as the primary coordinator of care.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start
• American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
