Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Catheterization Lab/Cardiology team across UCSF Medical Center locations. The role focuses on comprehensive nursing care from pre-procedure to post-procedure, including care during moderate sedation and anesthesia cases.

Required are CA RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and 3–5 years in PACU/ICU/CCU with Cath Lab experience; BSN preferred with RCIS/RCES certifications. Strong collaboration and flexible scheduling are essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California
• Current AHA CPR certification
• Current AHA ACLS certification
• 3–5 years combined experience in PACU/ICU/CCU with Cath Lab experience
• 1 year in Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab or Interventional Radiology
• 5+ years clinical nursing with recent critical care experience
• Ability to work across UCSF Medical Center locations
• Ability to provide patient education per plan of care

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and therapeutic patient care using the nursing process
• Prepare patients prior to radiologic procedures
• Support care during procedures and post-procedural care
• Assist in monitoring during moderate sedation and anesthesia cases
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Participate in on-call and late stay shifts
• Orient across UCSF Medical Center locations
