Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of experience as a trainer/coach, program liaison, providing routine personal counseling services, facilitating support groups or providing educational staff support.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of programs to improve student achievement and/or behavior.
• Work with licensed staff to facilitate the implementation of consistent/comprehensive curriculum within an academic achievement room.
• Provide tutoring support and work direction to students in a variety of subject areas.
• Communicate consistently with staff and parents regarding individual student progress; provide families with information about interventions and programs.
• Provide behavior management training and coaching for classroom teachers and paraprofessionals.
• Model classroom management techniques for teachers and paraprofessionals.
• Coordinate other school staff to provide additional student support in an academic achievement room.
• Coordinate and facilitate professional development for non-licensed staff in tutoring.
• Develop communications to ensure staff awareness of activities and techniques.
• Attend district meetings and workshops.
