Soliant is seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist to support students with diverse learning needs in Newark, OH. This full-time contract role focuses on delivering individualized instruction and collaborating with educators in a dynamic school setting.

You will monitor progress, update IEPs as needed, and adapt curricula to ensure accessibility for all learners while maintaining a positive classroom environment. Starts Aug 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility required.
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt instructional methods to individual student needs.
  • Experience with a range of disabilities (mild to moderate and/or moderate to intensive) preferred.
  • Collaborative approach for partnering with general education staff, families, and related service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in accordance with individualized education plans.
  • Monitor and document student progress, regularly updating IEPs as needed.
  • Modify curriculum and classroom strategies to ensure accessibility for all learners.
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, team members, and administrators.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and staff collaborations.
