Job summary

Performance Academies in Columbus, OH is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support K–8 and High School students by delivering specialized instruction, co‑teaching, and accommodations for IEPs, 504s, and BIPs. You will help track progress and advocate for student needs.

The role requires a valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license, background checks, and proficiency with IDEA regulations, data monitoring, and educational software. School hours run 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Direct Support: Deliver specialized instruction, co-teaching, and accommodations for students with IEPs, 504s, and BIPs; track progress and advocate for student needs.

• Compliance & IEP Management: Write, update, and lead meetings for IEPs, ETRs, FBAs, and 504 Plans per state and federal guidelines.

• Requirements: Bachelor's degree, valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license, passed background checks, and proficiency in IDEA regulations, data monitoring, and educational software.

Work Schedule

• School hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Attendance at staff meetings, IEP meetings, professional development, conferences, and required trainings.
