【Position】

Interpreter

【Summary】
The company is the U.S. subsidiary of a major Japanese starch and corn-based product manufacturer with a history of over 150 years.
They purchase corn in the U.S. and ship it to Japan, sourcing through both Japanese trading companies and directly from U.S. grain merchants. The company also supports its parent company in research and development of new products and markets them globally, including in Japan and the U.S.

This role is ideal for driven individuals looking to challenge themselves in a global work environment. Responsibilities include grain purchasing, interpretation, market research, logistics coordination, and international sales for the parent company's products.

【Essential Duties】

• Purchase the required amount of grain at the best possible price, taking into consideration quality, grain type, and logistics.

• Interpret between Japanese and English during meetings between American companies and Japanese personnel.

• Gather, analyze, centrally organize, and communicate information on U.S. corn market trends from English sources, and translate it into Japanese.

• Coordinate, arrange, oversee, and record all storage and transportation of purchased corn from the point of origin to delivery in Japan.

• Engage in international outside sales for new products produced by the parent company.

【Salary, Benefits】

• Salary: Annual income of $55,000 or more (commensurate with the candidate\'s experience and capabilities).
