Location: Las Vegas, USA

We are hiring a professional English Interpreter to join our team in Las Vegas. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient interpretation services to clients from different backgrounds. Your main role will be to facilitate communication between English speakers and non-English speakers in various settings such as business meetings, conferences, legal proceedings, and social events.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality interpretation services in English and the target language (Kiswahili or any other Kenyan language)
• Interpret accurately and impartially, without adding or omitting any information
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards while interpreting
• Assist with cultural differences and ensure effective communication between parties
• Research and familiarize yourself with technical terminology related to the subject matter of the interpretation assignment
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction
• Manage your time effectively and meet tight deadlines for assignments
• Continuously improve your language proficiency and stay updated with current events

Requirements

• Fluency in both English and Kiswahili or any other Kenyan language (written and spoken)
• Proven experience as an interpreter in different settings (business, legal, medical, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex ideas in a clear manner
• Strong knowledge of cultural norms and customs in Kenya
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability are a must
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in interpretation or related field is preferred

Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per month for this full-time position. You will also have the opportunity to work on various assignments that will enhance your skills as an interpreter.
