Job summary

Universal Destinations & Experiences Internship Program is based in Orlando and pays interns. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting of hardware and software with exposure to Physical Security, Technology, and Project Management in a theme park setting.

Interns should be pursuing a degree (associate, bachelor or graduate) and have a minimum 2.8 GPA, plus a Florida driver’s license. Housing assistance may be available; in-person work at the Orlando offices is required.

Universal Destinations & Experiences Internship Program:

• Summer 2027 Program Dates: Approximately May 2027 — August 2027

JOB SUMMARY:

The intern will work independently and collaboratively to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues across Security & Resort Services systems while gaining experience in Physical Security, Technology, and Project Management. The intern will gain working knowledge and experience blending Physical Security, Technology, and Project Management elements in a theme park atmosphere.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn and gain experience with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and analyzing hardware and software issues, ensuring fast and accurate responses to achieve minimal downtime of our systems.
• Manages assigned technical projects from conception through completion by organizing and providing work direction to internal partners and external vendors.
• Monitors and follows up on all project tasks to ensure proper completion and satisfaction while providing regular project status updates for management and partner review.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
• Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
• A transcript is required upon application.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License is required.

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Preferred majors include: Computer Information Technology, Project Management, Management Information Systems, Physical Security, or similar.
• A or Microsoft-related certifications are preferred but not required.
• Experience with supporting and troubleshooting PC hardware and software.
• Knowledge of project management strategies.
• Background with Physical Security.

• This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
• Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2027.
• Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
• All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
