Universal Orlando is offering an in-person internship in Orlando for engineering students. You will assist with mechanical, electrical, show and ride controls development, learn safety systems, interface with vendors, and gain basic project management exposure.

You should be pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree with a GPA of 2.8 or higher, and be prepared for a hands-on, field-based experience during Summer 2027. Compensation is provided, with possible housing assistance details.

Qualificações

• Basic AC/DC electrical knowledge, Autocad, Physics and Calculus.

• Perform engineering calculations to support design and analysis.
• Plan and support factory acceptance tests to verify system function.
• Support site acceptance testing for installation and operation.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during testing and Commissioning.
• Coordinate with external vendors on requirements and schedules.
• Follow Environmental, Health & Safety policies in all tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

Work with Engineers to assist with basic re-design and development efforts of Mechanical, Electrical, Show and/or Ride controls and software systems. They will learn Safety systems for Ride Controls, how to interface with vendors and basic Project Management skills along with Electrical and Mechanical engineering fundamentals.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, reports, procedures, and records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle
• Perform and verify engineering calculations to support design, analysis, and implementation of systems in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.
• Plan, execute, and support factory acceptance tests to verify system functionality, performance, and compliance prior to delivery or installation.
• Conduct and support site acceptance testing to confirm proper installation, integration, and operational performance at the customer site.
• Diagnose, analyze, and resolve technical issues during testing, commissioning, and operation, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to manage technical requirements, schedules, deliverables, and issue resolution.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
• Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
• A transcript is required upon application.
• Basic AC/DC electrical knowledge, Autocad, Physics, Calculus, MS Office

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) knowledge preferred, programming skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Preferred majors include: Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or similar.
• Preferred coursework completed: Themed Entertainment, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.

• This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
• Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2027.
• Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
• All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
