Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western in Florida is seeking Interns for the Miami-Fort Lauderdale region. The internship program will prepare you for leadership positions on and off the jobsite, with hands-on experience in project engineering and field management.

You will be matched to roles aligned with your academic and career goals, working on-site or in the office within estimating and preconstruction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-week work schedule preferred.
• Some roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Assist project manager or field supervision with project coordination.
• Estimate costs for change orders.
• Solicit bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity.
• Schedule contracts and materials.
• Maintain project documents.
• Coordinate subcontractors.
• Support safety management.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Write RFIs and submittals; assist in change orders.

• Assisting project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination


• Estimating cost for change orders


• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity


• Scheduling of various contracts and materials


• Document control


• Coordination of subcontractors


• Safety management


• Participation in team meetings


• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders

Qualifications
