Bayer invites motivated interns to join the Plant Pathology & Laboratory Automation team at the La Dargoire Research Center in Lyon for a 6-month internship starting January 2027. The role bridges plant pathology, microbiology, and automation, offering hands-on assay development and data analysis in an international R&D setting.

• Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Plant Pathology, Microbiology or Biotechnology.
• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.
• Lab work experience in sterile conditions and basic microbiology techniques.
• Interest in laboratory automation and programmable platforms.

• Develop and optimize cellular assays for high-throughput screening of plant pathogens.
• Establish culture, growth, and sporulation conditions for fungal pathogens.
• Perform microbiological experiments under sterile conditions.
• Assist assay validation and transfer to robotic screening platforms.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data and document procedures.
