Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Sophomore-level coursework or Intermediate Accounting coursework preferred.
  • Strong academic performance and interest in public accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured internship across Audit, Tax, and Client Accounting Services.
  • Assist team members with client engagements and service-related activities.
  • Support engagement teams by completing assigned tasks and meeting project objectives.
  • Demonstrate accountability and proactive communication on progress and questions.
  • Collaborate with team members across departments and locations.
  • Build understanding of professional standards, client expectations, and best practices.

  • Participate in a structured internship experience that provides exposure to ELO's Audit, Tax, and Client Accounting Services practice areas.
  • Assist team members with client engagements, projects, and service-related activities.
  • Support engagement teams by completing assigned tasks and contributing to project objectives.
  • Demonstrate accountability for assigned responsibilities and communicate proactively regarding progress and questions.
  • Collaborate with team members across departments, service lines, and office locations.
  • Build an understanding of professional standards, client expectations, and public accounting best practices.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to take on new challenges.
What We’re Looking For
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Completion of sophomore-level coursework or Intermediate Accounting coursework preferred.
  • Strong academic performance and an interest in pursuing a career in public accounting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take on new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous internship or work experience in accounting, finance, or a professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and technology tools.
  • Involvement in accounting, finance, or business‑related student organizations.
  • Interest in pursuing CPA licensure.
