Job summary

McGough Construction is offering a Project Management Internship designed to provide real-world, hands-on experience on high-profile construction projects. You’ll work alongside seasoned professionals, tackle real tasks—from bid letters and takeoffs to schedule updates—and gain exposure to multiple roles across the organization.

The program targets sophomores to seniors in Construction Management or Construction Engineering, values initiative and clear communication, and includes mentorship,

Qualifications

  • Sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Able to work in fast-paced environments and take initiative.
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Draft bid solicitation letters to subcontractors.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and analyze costs.
  • Review subcontractor bids to identify best value.
  • Contribute to trade scope reviews and recap sheets.
  • Draft owner recommendations to inform decisions.
  • Maintain project schedules with regular updates.
  • Manage RFI process and track submittals.
  • Track punch lists and assist with closeouts.
  • Monitor the Cost Control Log and budgets.
  • Participate in PM and corporate meetings.

If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.McGough offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package for full-time employees.
