Job summary

McGough Construction is seeking a Marketing Intern to support Pursuits and Business Development. You will help assemble proposals and interviews, maintain marketing assets in OpenAsset, and assist with CRM cleanup while learning from experienced professionals.

This role offers hands-on exposure to real projects in a collaborative, professional environment. Office location is Roseville, MN with hybrid attendance; travel may be required to regional locations and sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Junior or senior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or related field.

We’re looking for a Marketing Intern to support our Pursuits and Business Development efforts and gain hands-on experience contributing to the work that helps us win projects.

This internship offers real exposure to how large construction pursuits are developed, assembled, and delivered. You’ll work behind the scenes with our Marketing team to help bring proposals and interviews together, maintain key systems, and support the tools that power our pursuit efforts.

What You’ll Do:

• Assisting with proposal formatting and assembly in InDesign, Word, and PowerPoint
• Supporting interview preparation, including slide deck updates and materials coordination
• Printing, binding, and organizing proposal and interview materials
• Uploading, organizing, and maintaining marketing assets within our Digital Asset Management system (OpenAsset)
• Supporting CRM data entry and cleanup to ensure accurate opportunity tracking
• Assisting with market and project research to support Business Development efforts
• Helping maintain consistency, accuracy, and organization across marketing materials and systems
• Providing general support to the Marketing team as needs shift and priorities evolve
• You’ll contribute to deadline-driven work while operating within a structured, team-supported environment.

Office & Travel:

Office Location:Corporate HQ, Roseville, MN - Hybrid office attendance with Roseville Headquarters serving as primary office

Travel: Willingness to travel that may include regional office locations and remote jobsites, events, and company activities as needed — it’s all part of the experience!

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee’s workstation and during meetings as well as while traveling, either by plane or car. Occasionally, employee will be required to visit construction jobsites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $25.00-$27.00/hr , excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you join McGough, your final base salary will be determined by several factors, including geography, location, skills, education, and experience. Furthermore, we place significant value on pay equity among our current team members as part of any final job offer.

Please note that the range provided above reflects the hiring range for this role. Hiring near the top end of this range would be atypical, as we aim to allow room for future salary growth. Additionally, McGough offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. This includes insurance coverage for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.
