Job summary

Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR) offers an internship for Civil Engineering students in the Mount Carmel area. Junior or Senior students will assist with active roadway construction projects and gain exposure to the firm’s broad range of services.

All applicants must be currently enrolled and authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred candidates have prior related internship or field experience and possess a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

• Previous internship or construction-related exposure is beneficial.

• Eager to learn all aspects of the engineering process.

Are you a Junior or Senior in an accredited Civil Engineering program? Our robust internship program will introduce you to real-world engineering projects in the transportation industry. HLR strives to grow our intern's knowledge of the engineering industry by providing practical, educational opportunities to participate in the daily operations of our company and to observe how the industry works firsthand. As an intern, you will assist with active roadway construction projects and will be exposed to the wide-range of services that our firm has to offer. Please note that our internships are for students who are currently in school. All students must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.
• Previous internship or experience with construction, municipal, roadway, traffic or structural experience is beneficial.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation is required.
• Eager to learn all aspects of the engineering process.
• Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
• Available to work from late May / June through Mid-August.
• Full Time/Hours vary based on workload and weather.

Salary: $20 - $24 per hour
