Qualifications

  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis in lab or shop environments
  • Able to work independently, follow detailed work instructions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of shop safety practices and willingness to follow lockout/tagout and EHS policies
  • Clear verbal and written communication for reporting issues and documenting repairs

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Equipment Debug: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair back-end semiconductor assembly equipment and peripheral systems using electrical and mechanical problem-solving techniques
  • Safety Leadership: Identify and correct unsafe conditions, follow lockout/tagout and EHS procedures, and promote a culture of safety on the shop floor
  • Process Support: Assist production teams with equipment setup, changeovers, and root cause analysis to minimize downtime
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance tasks, and component replacements to maintain equipment uptime
  • Continuous Improvement: Support kaizen/Lean initiatives to improve equipment reliability, throughput, and yield
  • Data Capture: Record maintenance actions, log fault data, and support basic analysis to guide corrective actions
  • Independent Work: Execute assigned tasks with minimal supervision and escalat complex issues to senior engineers

  • Education: Minimum 2–3 years progress toward a BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science
  • Technical Tools: Hands-on familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, hand/power tools, and basic CAD or schematic reading
  • Controls Exposure: Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, actuators, and electromechanical systems
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated troubleshooting and root-cause analysis ability in lab or shop environments
  • Work Style: Able to work independently, follow detailed work instructions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of shop safety practices and willingness to follow lockout/tagout and EHS policies
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication for reporting issues and documenting repairs
  • Eligibility: US citizen or permanent resident required for export-controlled documentation access

Salary pay information

Location Indicative salary range Leominster, MA United States Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate: US$ 27.00 – US$ 39.50 Hourly rate will depend on the highest level of education completed.
