Job summary

University of Alabama is seeking an Internship Advisor to serve as a university-wide resource and liaison for internship initiatives. You will advise students on exploration, search strategies, application preparation, and opportunity evaluation, while building relationships with faculty, employers, and campus partners.

You will develop and facilitate internship-focused workshops and maintain student-facing resources, guides, tools, and educational materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Three years in career services, student affairs, or related fields preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver internship workshops and resources.

Responsibilities

• Advises students on internship exploration, search strategies, application preparation, and opportunity evaluation.
• Helps students identify internship opportunities aligned with their academic interests and career goals.
• Develops and facilitates internship-focused workshops and presentations.
• Creates and maintains student-facing resources, guides, tools, and educational materials.
• Maintains accurate records of student engagement, programming, and partnerships.
• Builds collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, and employers to expand internship access.
• Partners with Career Center colleagues across campus.
• Works Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
