Universal Orlando Resort is offering a Summer 2027 Internship in Accounting & Reporting in Orlando. The program provides hands-on experience with accounting & financial reporting, including analysis, research, journal entries, and month-end close tasks.

Interns will prepare G/L reconciliations, assist in financial statement compilation, and participate in quarterly review presentations while enhancing communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor or Graduate degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA required.
• Transcript required upon application.

Responsabilités

• Prepare close calendars for communication to business units.
• Troubleshoot accounting variance errors and discrepancies.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external clients using departmental expertise.
• Coordinate interim and period-end close tasks and reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and G/L reconciliations.
• Research technical accounting topics as needed.
• Develop moderate spreadsheet and analytical skills through tasks.
• Utilize technology to automate manual processes.
• Follow UO Environmental, Health & Safety policies and participate in related activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

This internship will include multiple learning and growth opportunities. The intern will work alongside internal partners to ensure accuracy of Universal Orlando Accounting & Financial Reporting. Support management in developing financial analysis, reporting, and technical accounting research. Other learning opportunities include analyzing leases and general ledger accounts, assisting with financial statement compilation, assisting in the preparation of quarterly financial review presentations, preparing G/L reconciliations, posting journal entries, and coordinating month-end close tasks. In addition, this intern will refine communication and presentation skills. Prepare responses to internal & external audit inquiries (as needed).

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare close calendars for communication to business units.
• Troubleshoot accounting variance errors & discrepancies.
• Use departmental expertise to respond to inquiries from internal & external clients.
• Assist in coordination of interim & period-end close tasks and reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and G/L reconciliations.
• Research technical accounting topics as the need arises.
• Learn various incidental tasks that will help develop moderate spreadsheet and analytical expertise.
• Use available technology to automate manual processes.
• Understand and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• In pursuit of a Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Senior or above.
• Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
• A transcript is required upon application.

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Preferred majors include: Accounting or a related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, accounting principles, research, financial analysis, AI prompting, and process automation preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills are also preferred.

Please note the following:

• This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
• Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2027.
• Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
• All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
