Job summary

Engenious Design, headquartered in the Kansas City metro area, invites you to join as an Engenenious Intern. You will work directly with senior engineers on real product designs, gaining hands-on experience in electronics, embedded systems and medical device development.

This paid internship runs for a defined start and end date and embeds you into project teams. You will balance learning with contributing to meaningful projects, while maintaining a strong work ethic and curiosity across

• Work collaboratively to design, build and test electronics and embedded microcontroller systems.
• Expand knowledge of designing electromechanical products, including enclosures, power, analogs and RF circuits.
• Learn about the medical field while working on inventive medical devices and advanced technology products.

We are a creative design firm with multiple disciplines of engineering - electrical, mechanical, software, biomedical, as well as project management, model making, technicians, industrial design to help us create medical devices that make the world a better place.

Typically Interns are embedded directly into a project team, working side-by-side with senior engineers to get their hands dirty with real designs for real products!
The Engenious Internship is a paid, temporary position with a definitive start and end date. Due to the temporary status of the Internship, Interns are not eligible to participate in the Engenious benefits program.

The Engenious Project Manager is a technical leader who plans and organizes cross-functional design teams to meet goals of clients and Engenious. The Project Manager ensures each project is a great experience for clients and the Engenious team. The Project Manager is a mature, stabilizing, collaborative and forward-thinking leader in the midst of ambiguity and change encountered during product development.

What You'll Do:

• Work Collaboratively to design, build and test electronics and embedded microcontroller systems.
• Expand Your Knowledge Base of designing electromechanical products, including enclosures, digital, power supply, motor control, analog and RF circuits, working in a close team of engineers, technicians and others.
• Learn About the Medical Field working on inventive medical devices and other advanced technology product development.
