Job summary

Wedbush Securities is seeking an Equity Research Associate to join the Internet coverage team. You will work directly with institutional investors and the sales force to generate original, market-moving ideas and develop deep sector expertise.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 1+ year of equity research experience, and FINRA licenses (87/86) with SIE when applicable. Strong accounting, valuation, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or quantitative discipline preferred.
• 1+ years of Equity Research experience with a demonstrated track record.
• FINRA 87 and 86 licenses and SIE when required.
• Strong accounting knowledge and valuation techniques.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into investment theses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AI tools to increase productivity.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Track industry trends, news, and market events in the Internet sector.
• Produce differentiated research reports and initiations of coverage using SEC filings, transcripts, AI tools and data sources.
• Build and maintain financial models and sector databases.
• Conduct primary research via industry contacts and expert networks.
• Generate high-conviction investment ideas and present findings.
