Atlas Copco Group Co.,Ltd seeks a Trade Compliance Analyst to support the Trade Compliance Manager by delivering analytical insights, aiding daily trade operations in the Air Compressor Business Area, and ensuring compliant import/export activities across North and South America.

The role is based in South Charlotte with a hybrid work setup offering 2 work-from-home days per week. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in trade compliance or related roles.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Licensed Customs Broker preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in trade compliance or related role.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations and HTS codes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, GTS, or similar systems.
• Experience with international transportation and Mexican/Canadian regulations.

Aufgaben

• Participate in internal trade audits of CTBA entities within the NASA region, review results and provide analysis.
• Perform tariff classification audits for imported parts and provide training to HTS engineers.
• Monitor changes to US trade regulations and update internal policies.
• Assist in developing and delivering US Trade Compliance training.
• Assist with compliance system administration, data governance, and process improvements.
• Ensure adherence to reconciliation procedures and post-entry compliance tasks.
• Audit forwarders & brokers for SOP compliance with CTBA entities.
• Support creation of import/export compliance manuals and SOPs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities from analysis and report to leadership.
• Lead continuous-improvement projects for Trade Compliance.
• Align with other areas and share best practices.
• Assist CF28 requests from CBP.

Your role

As the Trade Compliance Analyst you will support the Trade Compliance Manager by delivering critical analytical insights, aiding in day-to-day trade operations within the Air Compressor Business Area, and ensuring accurate and compliant import/export activities that align with all customs regulations within North and South America. This position is located in South Charlotte (About 3-4 miles from Carowinds). This is a hybrid position with 2 work from home days per week.

You will

• Participate in internal trade audits of CTBA entities within the NASA region, review results, and provide analysis as needed to identify and suggest opportunities for improvement, minor, or major findings
• Perform tariff classification audits for new and existing imported parts of CTBA entities, and provide training to HTS engineers as needed
• Proactively monitor changes to US trade regulations that could impact business within the CTBA entities, provide guidance and help update internal policies and procedures as needed
• Assist in developing and delivering US Trade Compliance training content to all CTBA entities within the NASA region
• Assist with compliance system administration, data governance, and process enhancements with IT and cross-functional teams (SAP Act!, ACDC, GEMs, GTS, etc.)
• Ensure organization is trained and adherent to reconciliation procedures, post-entry compliance task, and record keeping
• Conduct audits of forwarders & brokers to ensure compliance with established SOPs created with the entities of CTBA
• Support in the creation of import/export compliance manuals, and internal/external compliance SOPs
• Identify, through analysis, potential costs saving opportunities and make recommendations to leadership
• Bring forward ideas and execute projects for continuous improvement of the Trade Compliance program
• Align with other business areas and share best practices
• Support in the completion of CF28 request from CBP, and any other request for information

Education

A completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• Licensed Customs Broker preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in trade compliance or related role

Strong understanding of customs regulations and HTS codes preferred

• Hands-on knowledge and interest in PC applications, MS-office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Experience with SAP S/4 Hana, GTS, or other similar systems used in trade compliance management preferred
• Experience of international transportation preferred
• Experience of Mexican & Canadian custom regulations preferred

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication will be required to influence stakeholders and deliver positive change
• Strong logical and analytical thinking will be needed to solve complex problems
• Ability to quickly learn new proocesses and systems & develop and implement improvement opportunities
