Job summary

Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC is seeking an International Tax Staff to support clients with international tax compliance, reporting, modeling, and consulting. You will collaborate with experienced professionals on day-to-day international tax matters and coordinate with offshore teams on tax preparation work.

Responsibilities include preparing U.S. international tax forms, performing E&P and GILTI calculations, and assisting with analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA eligible with intent to pursue CPA.
• At least 1 year of progressive international tax compliance experience in public accounting, law firm, or large corporate tax department.
• Strong tax technical and accounting skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and modeling skills.
• Proficiency with tax software such as OIT, ProSystem fx, CCH, RIA, Engagement.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on day-to-day international tax matters and support managers and partners.
• Review and coordinate offshore tax preparation work.
• Prepare U.S. international tax forms (1118, 5471, 5472, 8992, 8865, 8858, 1042, 8802, K-2, K-3, 8833).
• Calculate E&P, Section 987 FX gains/losses, GILTI, foreign tax credits, ECI, Subpart F, and 962.
• Assist with compliance, reporting projects, modeling, and FTC analyses.
• Evaluate eligibility for international tax elections, including GILTI high-tax exception.
• Utilize Excel and tax tech tools to support work.
• Manage project budgets and deadlines.
• Build relationships and communicate with clients and internal teams.
