Eide Bailly, a leading US-based advisory and accounting firm, seeks a Tax professional for its Fargo-area offices. The role supports hybrid or in-office work arrangements and focuses on U.S. tax compliance for individuals with foreign income and assets.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Accounting, 1+ year in public accounting tax, and an interest in learning U.S. international tax reporting. Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's or LLM in taxation preferred.
• 1+ year of experience working in public accounting tax (preferred).
• Interest in learning US reporting of International income and assets.
• Self-motivated and able to manage priorities with minimal supervision.
• Able to work across multiple stakeholders, prioritize effectively, and provide updates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual tax returns for clients with foreign income and foreign assets.
• Assist with filings such as foreign corporations, treaty returns, withholding, and FBARs.
• Collaborate with professionals to ensure accuracy and deadlines for individual and business tax returns.
• Analyze tax situations from multiple angles to maximize tax benefits.
• Network and build relationships across the Firm.
• Assist in research projects and memo writing.

Typical Day in the Life

• Prepare individual tax returns for clients who have foreign income and foreign assets.
• Assist with many different filings such as foreign corporations, treaty returns, withholding, and FBAR's
• Work with awesome professionals to ensure individual and business tax returns are completed correctly and by the required deadline.
• Look at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
• Network and build relationships across the Firm.
• Assist in research projects and memo writing.

Who You Are

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's Degree or a LLM in taxation (preferred).
• You have 1+ year of experience working in public accounting tax (preferred).
• You have interest in learning US reporting of International income and assets.
• You are self-motivated and able to manage priorities with minimal supervision.
• You enjoy working through challenging projects and meeting deadlines.
• You can manage work across multiple stakeholders, prioritize effectively, and provide consistent updates on progress and deliverables.
• You hold yourself to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality.

Compensation: $70,000-$85,000

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
