Job summary

Ferris State University is seeking an OIE Student Services Assistant (Student Position) in Big Rapids, MI to support the Office of International Education. You will assist with events, create social media content, and provide front-desk service while supporting the Immigration & Student Services Coordinator.

The role offers experience in event planning, communication, customer service, and intercultural engagement. A driving record check may be required for university-related driving duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and promoting OIE events.
• Create educational/informational social media content for OIE.
• Work at front desk handling phones and visitor assistance.
• Support the Immigration & Student Services Coordinator with tasks.
• Serve as Orientation Leader when needed.
• Drive Ferris students to/from OIE events using university vehicle.
• Operate vehicles safely and comply with driving authorization requirements.
