Job summary

Turbotec Products, a division of Mueller Industries, is seeking a Shipping Associate to join our team in Newton, NC. The role centers on coordinating domestic and international shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring customer-specific shipping requirements are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Experience with FedEx, UPS, and freight carrier systems preferred.
• Sage ERP or inventory software experience is a plus.
• Forklift certification is a plus; training will be provided if needed.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following established processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), packing lists, and other shipping documentation.
• Coordinate Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments and schedule carrier pickups.
• Process shipments through FedEx, UPS, and other transportation providers.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and logistics needs.
• Prepare and verify all shipping documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
• Load and unload materials safely using warehouse equipment.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management activities.
• Follow established procedures and customer-specific shipping requirements without deviation.
• Maintain organized shipping records, email correspondence, and documentation.
• Support domestic and international shipping operations.
