Job summary

Capital One seeks a Principal Associate on the International Risk Team to orchestrate the international risk management strategy with governance across partner networks. You will translate strategy into actionable requirements and ensure visibility through structured reporting.

The role focuses on designing metrics, digital workflows, and cross-functional collaboration to enable secure, scalable operations and clear executive narratives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification.
• At least 3 years of experience in Risk Management, Network Engineering, Data Governance, or Project Management or a combination of these.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients.
• At least 2 years of experience with reporting, metrics, data visualization, or technical documentation.
• Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and execution of the International Risk Strategy by leading critical strategic areas, including build relevant frameworks and patterns.
• Translate policy, regulations, and risk appetites into clear, actionable requirements for key partners.
• Serve as a Pathfinder for international operational enablement, identifying cross-cutting dependencies and clearing obstacles to scale securely.
• Establish and maintain rules of the road for domains to ensure solutions are compliant by design.
• Synthesize complex information into action-oriented Executive reporting for senior leadership.
• Design and monitor performance metrics to identify actionable insights and keep the portfolio well-managed.
• Partner with ES Risk leads to implement workflow automation and build digital structures to drive transparency and alignment.
