Job summary

POET Bioproducts is seeking an International Logistics Intern to support export container logistics processes and assist the team in managing bioproducts for customers worldwide. The role is on-site in Sioux Falls, SD, with training and mentorship provided to help you build practical skills in a growing company.

You will collaborate with internal and external customers, learn container bookings, and participate in processing instructions for freight partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently a Sophomore or Junior pursuing a BA in Ag Business, Ag Economics, Economics, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
• Customer service mindset with a desire to provide solutions.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Strong organization and time management skills with urgency to drive results.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal and external customers to support logistics needs.
• Assist in securing container bookings across multiple platforms and origin/destination pairings.
• Assist in entering and processing transportation instructions for freight partners.
• Gain exposure to container shipment and documentation processes for international shipments.

We use trucks, trains, barges, and ocean container vessels to make this happen. As an International Logistics Intern, it will be your job to support internal and external customers with export container logistics processes, as well as assisting the International Logistics Team in managing our bioproducts.
