Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. seeks a Financial Controller (m/f/d) to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning from its Germany location in Korntal-Münchingen. Strong accounting expertise, IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, and SAP/ERP proficiency are essential.

You will partner with department heads to manage monthly closes, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen internal controls while supporting audits in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance & Accounting or Business Administration is required.
• Strong technical accounting and financial control expertise.
• Proven ability to manage complexity in international environments.
• Knowledge of Germany and international accounting standards, including US GAAP / IFRS, desired.
• Proficiency in spoken and written German and English; other EU languages are an advantage.
• Excellent SAP knowledge, advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
• Experience working with reporting software tools.
• At least 5 years of experience in F&A.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including production budgets, labor and overhead rates.
• Monitor financial performance through variance analysis and maintain cost accounting processes.
• Manage monthly closes and consolidate results across regions; ensure IFRS and local compliance.
• Strengthen internal controls and governance with enhanced reporting and risk management.
